Pros:
Several users noted extensive features and attentive technical support. ArtSystem’s training support is professional and responsive. “They’ve also been excellent at creating customizations for us, such as bespoke invoicing forms, or tailoring other system features to accommodate our workflow,” said one of those users.
Others say that “being able to quickly generate custom reports on a searched-for selection of artworks has been invaluable.” ArtSystems database contains useful content, including many images. “My gallery has been served by Artsystems since its establishment in 2006. Over the years, we have migrated our database easily to newer and ever-improving Artsystems client and data management tools, which connect to and serve the website that Artsystems designed and hosts for us,” added another user.
To eliminate the redundancy of data input and output when filling in inventory, consignment, invoices, and other reports, ArtSystmes has an extensive list of features that make data entry easier and more accurate. As another user noted, “better control of inventory pays for itself.”
Cons:
As per one user, every time his Mac OS received a major update, he had to call customer support to reestablish integration with ArtSystems. However, “with the migration to the fully web-based Artsystem5, this inconvenience was removed.”
The ArtSystems integration with Artsy is not complete, according to several users who found it an inconvenient, to-be-improved issue. Depending on the type of computer and operating system you are using, you might face some other difficulties. Because, after all, ArtSystems is software that like any other requires updates and adjustments.
