Arternal Reviews and Product Details

Arternal was the first technology company with an exclusive focus on art dealers’ needs and client relationship management equally. Since hitting the market in 2015, Arternal has been unifying advanced technologies with the requests of the art industry, including relationships between art professionals and their clients.

Among their best-known client-oriented features are Inventory Management, Productivity and Workflow, Revenue and Relationships Management and other tools that help art dealers, art gallery owners and their teams to run business more efficiently.

Establishing relationships with art dealers and collectors is not a one-slip transaction. On the contrary, any art gallery would want to nourish their connections by offering clients virtual exhibition viewings, exclusive access to newly featured artists, and recommendations based on their previous purchases.

A simple yet powerful Customer Relationship Manager improves client experience and helps to strategy sales for a higher profit. Such features as customizable emails, invoice templates, and data recording of everything you need to know about your clients (activity, correspondence, contacts) are essential for increasing client engagement. Having all required data in one place also means as an art dealer you can see what works best for your clients and what kind of artworks they might consider in the future.

Organizing your sales can also be done more efficiently with the Sales Pipeline tool. The pipeline creates a flow of conversation between art dealers or gallery management and buyers. That also includes building and expanding individual client profiles.

To be able to quickly react to clients’ requests and offer them newly featured artworks, Arternal has developed powerful and intuitive inventory management. Inventory management provides an overview and control of artworks: consigned, on-hold, sold or featured. This tool also offers tracking of operations, marketing, and customizable permission for both public viewings and private online exhibition rooms.

Thoughtfully set up online viewing rooms also help to sell more artworks. Providing clients with a visually appealing online presence can generate new leads and bring back regular clients.

What our experts think:

Pros:

Arternal offers a free demo version where you can take a quick tour of what the software has to offer.

  • Powerful and intuitive software

The first thing you realize about Arternal is that the software is intuitive and easy to navigate. It is loaded with sales tools like client relationship management that easily sync with email and texting apps, which allows one to stay on top of client relationships. It boosts efficiency by focusing on selling art rather than administrative tasks and allows art gallery teams to identify better prospects for new leads and prioritize client needs.

I can see how busy art dealers and gallery managers can appreciate how quickly this software reacts to updating data whether it is an inventory of customers-related data, whilst avoiding errors such as marking artworks ‘Sold’ or forgetting to answer clients’ inquiries.

Speaking of clients’ relationships, Arternal integration with third-party communication software is easy through Mailchimp, WhatsApp, and iMessage, allowing you to stay on top of messaging with art collectors and other clients, whether via phone apps or web.

  • Responsive tech support

Knowledgeable and responsive tech support is something that many users praised about Arternal. “Feedback given to the Arternal team regarding improvement or ideas for new features that would help with workflow is always met with consideration. If issues occur or you have questions regarding the system someone who is competent and reliable answers within moments and at most 24 hours,” said one of them. Others say that bugs or issues are always fixed within a forty eight hour period.

  • Cloud-based software

Arternal is a cloud-based software, and its primary advantage is that it is accessible from anywhere. Available on the web and iOS, this art gallery software gives you access to Smart Mail, inventory management, client correspondence and other important data that you can pull out at any required time and share with your team or art dealers.

Cons:

The only disadvantage some users noted was the mobile app’s limited features (compared to the desktop version). However, despite limitations, you are still able to pull out some inventory data and respond to your clients on the go.
