KeePass is a free, open-source password manager that runs offline as a desktop application. All your passwords are stored in a single database locked with a master key. The database files are also encrypted with secure algorithms like AES-256, ChaCha20, and Twofish. KeePass can generate strong random passwords for you. Users can define the output settings of the generator (e.g., number of characters and type). Passwords can be sorted into different groups and arranged into various subgroups. Stored files, usernames, passwords, and other data can be dragged and dropped into entry fields. KeePass also has a global auto-type hot key: when KeePass is running in the background, pressing the hotkey brings up the correct password and auto-fills it. Lastly, KeePass is available in over 45 languages.
