Buffer Reviews and Product Details

Buffer is a social media management software for individuals and small to midsize businesses to grow their social media presence. Users can connect various social media channels to Buffer, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Shopify and Google Business Profile. The Buffer AI Assistant generates post ideas, re-writes copy, personalizes content, and translates copy into multiple languages. Start Page lets users create a landing page that centralizes social media content. The Analytics tool measures social media performance and provides recommendations to grow sales, engagement and outreach. The Engagement tool lets users view comments from every social media channel. Users can see all unanswered comments, prioritize important conversations, and quickly respond to fans with keyboard hotkeys and smart emojis.

Buffer prices their plans based on the number of social media channels connected. The price increases with the number of channels. The Free plan only supports up to 3 channels, while the Team plan supports up to 10. The Essentials and Agency plan supports more than 10 social media accounts. Buffer also has user limits. Only one user can access and contribute content for the Free and Essentials plans. The Team plan has no user limits. Each plan has a set number of AI credits for the Buffer AI Assistant tool. You can choose between monthly and yearly billing. The latter is the cheaper version of the two.

What our experts think

Buffer has a wide range of capabilities that make it easier to manage multiple social media accounts. Overall, the platform simplifies scheduling and posting posts. Instead of spending several hours a day scheduling posts, Buffer expedites the entire process. This gives you more time to focus on other tasks. The software is easy to use thanks to its well-designed interface and intuitive tools. After using Buffer, your social media performance should see a marked improvement.

A downside of Buffer is that it can be expensive. On top of the subscription fee, Buffer charges extra for additional channels. If you have more than three social media accounts, things can get pricey. The Free plan is an affordable option, but it has several limitations, e.g., only basic features and a three-account limit.
