One downside to TaxSlayer is that some people misinterpret the “start for free” disclaimer for the paid plans. Many users said they thought the plan was completely free but were surprised, confused and upset when they were asked to pay to file their return. TaxSlayer should change the wording in order to reduce confusion. Another drawback is that TaxSlayer does not support multiple return filing. Only one federal return per user can be filed.
