What our experts think:

Pros:

  • The free version is nice, but limited – Listen, we love free trials and especially free versions for software, so we need to give credit where it’s due. So we were really excited to try out Simplified just like most consumers would. However, there’s only so much you can try out with this free trial due to the limited nature of the credit system. We like you can try it out, but I wish you could get more of a feel before being forced to fork out cash for the paid versions.
  • Full suite of programs –  While we have categorized Simplified as an AI-writing assistant, we really should not pigeonhole it as just being that. Some capabilities Simplified has: an AI-powered Graphic Design platform with an image editor and a text-to-image art generator, an AI-powered Video platform with an in-browser editor, and a Social Media manager that can connect to your accounts and automate posts and access Social media analytics.

Cons:

AI writer is below the curve. What sells Simplified more than other programs is the universality of its suite of features. However, there is a real downside to how well the AI writer kept up with modern standards of AI. For starters, the text can be robotic or will repeat words unnaturally if you do not prompt it correctly. The Tone options seem to be minimally effective, and some options are downright confusing (Why is there a choice for a Hypocritical tone?) I think the Blog post creator is not as robust as its competitors either, as the results are often completely different than the choices you entered.
